Box4Grow stands behind the quality and durability of our modular cannabis cultivation facilities. This Warranty Policy outlines the coverage, terms, and procedures for warranty claims on Box4Grow systems including shipping container grow rooms, modular panel facilities, drying rooms, processing spaces, and all associated equipment.

This warranty applies to all Box4Grow facilities purchased after January 1, 2024. For facilities purchased prior to this date, please contact us at info@box4grow.com for warranty information.

IMPORTANT: This warranty is subject to proper installation, operation, and maintenance as specified in your facility documentation. Improper use or neglect may void warranty coverage.

1. Warranty Coverage Overview

Box4Grow provides comprehensive warranty coverage on all components of your cultivation facility:

1.1 Structural Warranty: 10 Years

Coverage Period: 10 years from date of installation

What’s Covered:

  • Shipping container frames and structural integrity
  • Modular panel frames, connections, and locking mechanisms
  • Roof and wall panel systems
  • Foundation anchoring and mounting systems
  • Structural welds and joints
  • Load-bearing components

What We’ll Do: Repair or replace defective structural components at no charge, including labor for Box4Grow-performed repairs.

1.2 HVAC Systems: 5 Years Parts, 1 Year Labor

Coverage Period: 5 years (parts), 1 year (labor) from date of installation

What’s Covered:

  • Air conditioning compressors and condensers
  • Heating systems (electric or gas)
  • Air handlers and blowers
  • Ductwork and air distribution systems
  • Thermostats and climate control boards
  • Refrigerant lines and connections

What We’ll Do: Replace defective HVAC parts for 5 years. Labor costs for replacement are covered for the first year only. After year 1, you pay labor costs at our standard service rates.

1.3 Dehumidification Systems: 5 Years Parts, 1 Year Labor

Coverage Period: 5 years (parts), 1 year (labor) from date of installation

What’s Covered:

  • Dehumidifier compressors and refrigeration systems
  • Water collection and drainage systems
  • Control boards and humidity sensors
  • Fans and air circulation components

What We’ll Do: Replace defective dehumidification parts for 5 years. Labor covered for first year only.

1.4 LED Lighting Systems: 5 Years

Coverage Period: 5 years from date of installation

What’s Covered:

  • LED drivers and power supplies
  • LED diodes and light boards
  • Mounting hardware and rails
  • Control systems and dimmers
  • Light timer and automation components

What We’ll Do: Replace defective LED components. If individual diodes fail, we replace the entire fixture to ensure uniform light output.

1.5 Electrical Systems: 3 Years

Coverage Period: 3 years from date of installation

What’s Covered:

  • Main electrical distribution panels
  • Circuit breakers and disconnect switches
  • Internal wiring and conduit
  • GFCI outlets and safety devices
  • Control systems and automation panels

What We’ll Do: Repair or replace defective electrical components installed by Box4Grow.

Not Covered: Utility connections from the power source to the facility (your electrician’s work).

1.6 Irrigation & Plumbing Systems: 3 Years

Coverage Period: 3 years from date of installation

What’s Covered:

  • Irrigation pumps and timers
  • Water distribution lines and emitters
  • Drainage systems and pumps
  • Water filtration components (RO systems, filters)
  • Plumbing fixtures and connections

What We’ll Do: Repair or replace defective irrigation and plumbing components.

Not Covered: Water supply lines from your water source to the facility, clogged emitters from mineral buildup (maintenance issue).

1.7 Insulation & Weatherproofing: 5 Years

Coverage Period: 5 years from date of installation

What’s Covered:

  • Spray foam or panel insulation
  • Vapor barriers and moisture protection
  • Roof seals and weatherproofing
  • Door seals and gaskets

What We’ll Do: Repair or replace defective insulation or weatherproofing that fails to maintain proper climate control.

1.8 Doors, Windows & Access Points: 3 Years

Coverage Period: 3 years from date of installation

What’s Covered:

  • Entry doors and frames
  • Door locks and hardware
  • Windows and viewing ports
  • Seals and weatherstripping

What We’ll Do: Repair or replace defective doors, windows, and hardware.

1.9 Automation & Control Systems: 2 Years

Coverage Period: 2 years from date of installation

What’s Covered:

  • Environmental sensors (temperature, humidity, CO2)
  • Automation controllers and software
  • Remote monitoring hardware
  • Wi-Fi connectivity modules

What We’ll Do: Replace defective automation components and provide software updates.

1.10 Installation Workmanship: 1 Year

Coverage Period: 1 year from date of installation

What’s Covered:

  • Proper assembly and setup
  • System commissioning and testing
  • Leak-free performance
  • Proper electrical and plumbing connections

What We’ll Do: Correct any installation defects or errors at no charge.

2. What Is NOT Covered (Warranty Exclusions)

This warranty does NOT cover damage or failure caused by:

2.1 Improper Use or Operation

  • Operating equipment beyond specified capacity or environmental limits
  • Using incompatible nutrients, chemicals, or supplies
  • Failure to follow operating instructions provided in documentation
  • Overloading electrical systems or circuits
  • Running equipment without proper utility connections (power, water)

2.2 Lack of Maintenance

  • Failure to perform recommended maintenance (filter changes, cleaning, etc.)
  • Failure to clean HVAC coils, dehumidifiers, and ventilation systems
  • Neglecting to inspect and replace worn parts (filters, seals, gaskets)
  • Mineral buildup in irrigation lines from hard water (preventable with filtration)

2.3 Unauthorized Modifications

  • Modifications, repairs, or alterations not performed or authorized by Box4Grow
  • Installation of non-Box4Grow equipment or components
  • Structural modifications to containers or panels
  • Electrical or plumbing work performed by unauthorized personnel

2.4 Accidents and External Damage

  • Physical damage from accidents, impacts, or mishandling
  • Damage during relocation not performed by Box4Grow
  • Vandalism, theft, or intentional damage
  • Damage from pests, rodents, or insects

2.5 Acts of Nature and Force Majeure

  • Earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes (beyond design specifications)
  • Lightning strikes and electrical surges (not covered; use surge protection)
  • Fire, explosions, or other catastrophic events
  • Extreme weather events exceeding facility design specifications

2.6 Utility and Infrastructure Issues

  • Power outages, voltage fluctuations, or inadequate electrical service
  • Water quality issues (contamination, excessive hardness, chlorine damage)
  • Internet connectivity issues affecting remote monitoring
  • Damage from improper utility connections by your electrician or plumber

2.7 Normal Wear and Tear

  • Air filters (HVAC, dehumidifiers) – consumable items requiring regular replacement
  • Light bulbs or minor LED degradation (up to 10% lumen loss is normal)
  • Cosmetic issues (scratches, dents, discoloration) that don’t affect functionality
  • Gradual performance decline within manufacturer specifications

2.8 Consequential and Indirect Damages

  • Lost profits or crop yields
  • Production delays or downtime
  • Damage to plants, inventory, or other property
  • Regulatory fines or penalties
  • Travel, lodging, or other incidental expenses

2.9 Items Not Supplied by Box4Grow

  • Security cameras, access control systems, alarm monitoring
  • Growing media, nutrients, seeds, or cultivation supplies
  • Furniture, shelving, or storage not included in original order
  • Third-party equipment installed by customer

3. How to File a Warranty Claim

3.1 Required Steps

To file a warranty claim, follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us Immediately: Notify Box4Grow within 10 business days of discovering the defect
  2. Provide Documentation: Email info@box4grow.com with:
    • Your name, facility address, and order number
    • Date of installation
    • Detailed description of the problem
    • Photos or videos of the defect
    • Any error codes or alerts from control systems
  3. Troubleshooting: Work with our technical support team to diagnose the issue remotely (if possible)
  4. Site Inspection: Allow Box4Grow or our authorized service provider to inspect the facility
  5. Cease Use: Stop using the affected component until repair is completed (to prevent further damage)

3.2 Response Times

Box4Grow will respond to warranty claims as follows:

  • Initial Response: Within 4 business hours (during office hours)
  • Remote Troubleshooting: Same day or next business day
  • Parts Shipping: 24-48 hours for in-stock items
  • On-Site Service: Within 5-7 business days (continental U.S.)
  • Emergency Service: 48-72 hours for critical HVAC failures (additional fees may apply)

3.3 What Happens Next

After inspecting the issue, Box4Grow will determine if the problem is covered under warranty:

If Covered:

  • We repair or replace the defective component at no charge
  • Parts shipped to you or installed by our technician
  • Labor covered according to warranty terms (see Section 1)

If Not Covered:

  • We provide a detailed explanation of why the claim is denied
  • We offer to repair the issue at standard service rates (quote provided)
  • You may choose to repair yourself or hire a third-party service provider

3.4 Required Proof of Purchase

To validate warranty coverage, you must provide:

  • Original sales invoice or order confirmation
  • Date of installation (from installation certificate)
  • Maintenance records (if requesting warranty service after year 1)

4. Warranty Repairs and Replacement

4.1 Repair vs. Replacement

Box4Grow, at our sole discretion, will determine whether to repair or replace defective components based on:

  • Severity of the defect
  • Cost-effectiveness of repair vs. replacement
  • Availability of replacement parts
  • Age of the component

4.2 Replacement Parts

  • Warranty replacements may be new or refurbished parts of equivalent quality
  • Replaced components become the property of Box4Grow
  • Replacement parts carry the remaining warranty period of the original part (not a new warranty)

4.3 Service Location

On-Site Repairs: Most warranty repairs are performed at your facility by Box4Grow technicians or authorized service providers.

Depot Repairs: Some components (control boards, sensors, etc.) may need to be shipped to our service center for repair or testing.

4.4 Your Responsibilities During Repair

  • Provide safe access to the facility for our technicians
  • Ensure power and utilities are available for testing
  • Remove plants or equipment blocking access to defective components
  • Provide adequate lighting and working conditions

5. Preventive Maintenance Requirements

To maintain warranty coverage, you must perform the following maintenance:

5.1 Monthly Maintenance

  • Inspect HVAC air filters and replace if dirty
  • Clean dehumidifier water collection trays
  • Check irrigation emitters for clogs
  • Inspect door seals and weatherstripping

5.2 Quarterly Maintenance

  • Replace HVAC air filters (or more frequently if needed)
  • Clean HVAC evaporator and condenser coils
  • Clean dehumidifier coils and fans
  • Calibrate environmental sensors (temperature, humidity)
  • Inspect electrical connections for corrosion or looseness

5.3 Annual Maintenance

  • Professional HVAC service and inspection (required to maintain warranty after year 1)
  • Inspect and tighten all electrical connections
  • Test GFCI outlets and circuit breakers
  • Inspect roof and wall seals for leaks
  • Flush and descale irrigation systems

5.4 Maintenance Records

You must maintain records of all maintenance performed. Box4Grow may request maintenance logs when processing warranty claims for systems older than 1 year.

Box4Grow Maintenance Plans Available: We offer annual maintenance contracts starting at $1,500/year. Contact us for details.

6. Extended Warranty Options

Box4Grow offers extended warranty packages to provide additional protection beyond standard coverage:

6.1 Extended Warranty Plans

Silver Plan (+3 Years):

  • Extends all component warranties by 3 additional years
  • Cost: 8% of facility purchase price
  • Must be purchased within 30 days of installation

Gold Plan (+5 Years):

  • Extends all component warranties by 5 additional years
  • Includes 2 annual maintenance visits
  • Cost: 12% of facility purchase price
  • Must be purchased within 30 days of installation

Platinum Plan (+7 Years with Priority Service):

  • Extends all component warranties by 7 additional years
  • Includes 4 annual maintenance visits
  • 24/7 emergency phone support
  • 48-hour guaranteed response time
  • Cost: 18% of facility purchase price
  • Must be purchased within 30 days of installation

6.2 Extended Warranty Terms

  • Extended warranties are non-transferable
  • Annual maintenance is required to maintain extended warranty coverage
  • Extended warranties cannot be purchased after the initial 30-day period

7. Manufacturer Warranties

Many components in your Box4Grow facility come with manufacturer warranties that may exceed Box4Grow’s warranty:

7.1 Third-Party Manufacturer Warranties

  • HVAC Equipment: Many manufacturers offer 5-10 year warranties (must be registered)
  • LED Lighting: Most LED manufacturers offer 5-7 year warranties
  • Dehumidifiers: Typically 3-5 year manufacturer warranties

7.2 How Manufacturer Warranties Work

  • Box4Grow will assist with registering manufacturer warranties during installation
  • You may need to contact manufacturers directly for warranty claims beyond Box4Grow’s coverage period
  • Box4Grow can facilitate manufacturer warranty claims as a courtesy service
  • Manufacturer warranties may have different terms and exclusions than Box4Grow’s warranty

8. Transferability of Warranty

8.1 Transfer to New Owner

Box4Grow warranties are transferable to new owners subject to these conditions:

  • You must notify Box4Grow in writing within 30 days of sale
  • Transfer fee: $500 (covers administrative costs and facility inspection)
  • New owner must provide proof of ownership and facility location
  • Remaining warranty period transfers (not a new warranty from date of transfer)
  • Extended warranties are NOT transferable

8.2 Facility Relocation

If you relocate your Box4Grow facility:

  • Warranty remains valid if relocation is performed by Box4Grow ($5,000-$15,000 depending on distance)
  • Warranty is VOID if relocation is performed by a third party (unless pre-approved by Box4Grow)
  • Notify Box4Grow before relocating to maintain warranty coverage

9. Limitation of Liability

THIS WARRANTY IS YOUR EXCLUSIVE REMEDY. Box4Grow’s liability under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement of defective components as described in this policy.

BOX4GROW SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Lost profits, revenue, or crop yields
  • Production downtime or delays
  • Damage to plants, inventory, or other property
  • Regulatory fines or penalties
  • Cost of substitute equipment or rental facilities

MAXIMUM LIABILITY: Box4Grow’s total liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of your facility.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED IN THIS WARRANTY POLICY, BOX4GROW MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING:

  • Implied warranties of merchantability
  • Implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose
  • Any warranties regarding uninterrupted or error-free operation

Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by state.

12. Changes to This Warranty Policy

Box4Grow reserves the right to modify this Warranty Policy at any time. Changes apply to facilities purchased after the effective date of the updated policy.

Your warranty is governed by the policy in effect on your date of purchase. We will provide you with a copy of the applicable Warranty Policy at the time of installation.
